• The sitter displays a positive attitude during the initial meeting and appears comfortable and confident in dealing with the animals
  
  
• The sitter strives to learn as much as possible about the animals in his or her care
  
  
• The sitter provides a service contract which specifies fees and services to be performed
  
  
• The sitter is courteous, interested in, and well informed about animal care
